Nola was and will always remain a lovely, caring, remarkable and accomplished individual and for those of us who were lucky enough to know her, recognize she was the closest thing to an angel on earth you will ever meet. She was such a hard worker and always put her client’s needs before herself. I suspect she put everyone’s needs before her own. She was such a role model not just for the disability community, but for everyone. Nola was a wonderful person to talk to about any subject. She was a great listener and you could talk to her about anything…anything but the Arizona Cardinals. She became gleeful when you tried to rile her up by claiming the Cardinals stunk! She was a staunch fan and supporter of the Cardinals and whenever she could, she would get the last word in about how great they were. She had a twinkle in her voice as she one upped you during the debate about the skill level of the Cardinals. I was just looking at an old text from her where she texted ‘the Cardinals are like roses because they make everything smell good.’ I’m sad she isn’t getting a chance to raze me about the Cardinals this year and she won’t be able to bask in their winning streak. She would be using some major Cardinal trash talk against me this season and with each word I would smile because everything with Nola was good natured. I am so sorry for the passing of Nola for her husband Wallace and her family. I am sorry for her friends and colleagues and clients. But I am most sorry for the people who never got to know Nola. The world is a sadder place today because she is gone, but the world was made a better place because of the time she was here. Y.S.F.A.M., Pat Baker

Nola was wonderful to work with. She was always smiling and never let anything get her down. She was a true Arizona Cardinals fan, she loved her football! I am going to miss the jesting back and forth about the Cardinals. She always took time to out of her busy day to talk or staff a case. She had so much knowledge and professionalism. She was very dedicated to her job and her clients. She truly loved what she did. She told me her story of how she lost her sight and I told her I don’t think I could have been that strong. Nola Baker-Jones was such a strong person and admired her for that. She always saw the good in every one. I will miss her dearly. Wallace, I am so sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you and your family.
