Obituary of Robert Rammer

Robert (Butch) Rammer passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023, with his family at his side. He was born June 27, 1936, to Martin and Huldiena (Zutz) Rammer in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He was blessed to share 64+ years of that life married to Marjory (Zvinakis) Rammer.

Bob grew up in Sheboygan, worked in the family retail meat store and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1954. He enlisted with the U.S. Army, serving in Japan, as a military policeman. After his service, he returned to Sheboygan and began working at the H.C. Prange Co. Bob worked at Prange’s for over 25 years, including moving from their Sheboygan office to the Green Bay headquarters in 1969. He was one of the last employees remaining when Prange’s closed. Bob made one call upon leaving Prange’s and that resulted in a long, happy and rewarding career as a Buyer for Mills Fleet Farm. Some of his fondest memories and dearest friendships came out of his days in retail. Retail was not only Bob’s career, but his hobby and passion. Bob retired from Mills Fleet Farm in 2003 and moved with Marge to Chandler, AZ.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Marge and their three children: Cindy (Steve) King; Lynda Jones (Ron Jenks) and Philip Rammer. He is further survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren : Derek (Becky) Rammer and their two children Chloe and Kinley; Joshua Jones (Lindsey Smith) and their son Trindon; Andrew King and Amanda King. Bob is also survived by his former sister-in-law Mary Lou Rammer and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Marty Rammer, Jr. and his sister Joan Ahrens.

The family would like to thank the staff of Chandler Regional Medical Center, 3rd Floor for their constant care and kindness for Bob. A special thank you to Dr. Griffin for his warmth and compassion in Bob’s final days. The family would also like to thank the staff and residents at Cadence Chandler where Bob and Marge have lived for the past year. They have been like family and helped them transition to the new stage of life. We are grateful.
